Gregg v Scott @ www.ipsofactoj.com/international/index.htm [2006] Part 6 Case 1 [HL]: Medicine is science; and like all fields of science one expects mathematical precision. But not so. A lot of judgment (based on scientific studies, results and the experience of the particular doctor) needs to be made. Judgment is incapable of mathematical precision. Judges and lawyers would do well to bear this important fact in mind.
